“Nuthatch” Linocut was created after observing a pair of nuthatches in the tree down by the river in Masham. I was amazed at how large and long their hallux claw is, this is apparently like a human thumb and helps birds grip branches and hang onto bark. The work was created in February 2026 and is available in a 2-plate process coloured version and also black and white.
