Blossom Owl

£40.00

“Night Owl” and “Blossom Owl” linocuts are a series of prints based on a barn owl, which I see regularly by the river near my home in Masham.  Blossom Owl is created with a separate set of linocut plates which are printed first, with the detailed final print overlayed on top. This allows me to play about with colours, and it is in the tradition of a “jigsaw” linocut method, whereas night owl is printed on top of separately “gel plate” printed or “ink rolled” backgrounds. Both methods mean no two prints are exactly alike. “The Owls” were created in March 2026.
