A limited edition print of 45, from original vibrant mixed-media artwork created using acrylics, pastels and inks, capturing the raw colour and character of the North Yorkshire Moors. The work was created quickly and intuitively, allowing layers of colour, texture and mark-making to build organically across the surface.
Inspired by the rich, shifting colours found within the moorland landscape, the artwork explores what lies beneath its seemingly familiar surface. Thick moss, weathered rock and layers of vegetation conceal traces of a much older landscape and a hidden history. The contrasting textures and spontaneous marks suggest the gradual passage of time, where nature continually grows over, obscures and transforms what came before.
The result is an expressive interpretation of the moors—not simply a representation of the landscape, but an exploration of its colour, texture and the histories concealed beneath it.
